Etzel Field renovations

The stadium and plaza continue to proceed. In actuality the process is moving more rapidly given the weather and ability to proceed unencumbered by other constituents on campus.

It's a good thing most of the Athletic Department employees are working from home...

Renovations appear to be coming along nicely. You can even see some of the work on the Chiles Center plaza being done.

Well, they didn’t make the June completion date, but a push in August would have them mostly ready for the return of students, a least from the outside.



Plaza looks done. Landscaping going on

For you out of staters, the OSAA says with the Ban on contact sports until late Sept. it’s not likely we will see HS football this fall. Other sports like soccer and xcountry might have reduced schedules, but there is too much to do for football.

The lower campus is not as far along. In May they were driving piles for buildings, I was told. There is still machinery down there, but so far no buildings going up that I could see from a distance, and no work on the track yet.

Love it! Glad this project finally came to fruition. Can't wait to be able to visit Portland again some day and actually see this place for myself.

Also, having bathrooms in the venue itself is a huge improvement for Pilot baseball fans!
