Wow! what a meltdown for PSU!!!

their RPI now stands at 187, which doesn't help us any. they were ranked when they flew out West.

I think it's safe to say their reign in the Big10 is over.

There is something wrong for Penn State when out of 28 shots only 2 are on frame... I have little hope for another Big 10 championship and the coaches could be in trouble after this season.

Here's an interesting result--

with 80 seconds to go, Denver scored on Purdue to tie the game 1:1, then scored again in the final second to win it.

The OK State tie and the losses by Rutgers and Penn State made our unadjusted RPI dip a little today, and Boston College's rose with their win, pulling them into a tie with UP according to the nc-soccer.com site. As far as I've been able to spot, that's a third-place tie, after Notre Dame and Stanford.

Arizona State was looking unexpectedly hot until today.

It is still early in the schedule but after looking at "the" spreadsheet tracking unadjusted RPI it will be interesting to see what changes in the next 6 weeks or so:

1. Will UCLA change from a #1 seed last year to no seed (3-23) (2009 rpi - current rpi)?

2. Will FSU (6 - 48), WF (8-44), Wis (31-45) get off the bubble? Lowely ARK took FSU into overtime today before they lost 1-0.

3. Are LSU (13-81), PSU (16-187), WSU (17-153), WV (27-78), UW (27-78), SD st (29-92), Ole Miss (35-120), Rut 38-86, Pur (39-70) going to miss the tourney?

4. Will surprizes ASU (32-5), OK St (37-7), Lou (153-11), Ill (65-12), GT (54-15) get seeds? Maybe unlikely for ASU after getting thumpped today 5-0.

5. Will TT (92-21), Siena (106-30), Brown (186-33), or OK (120-36) make the tourney?

Lots of fun playing on "the" SS for those who haven't tried it.
