Dunbar has got to get some love?! Empty Dunbar has got to get some love?!

I know he didn't do anything nearly as exciting as dropping three straight games to the Toreros, but he did end up running a 4:01 mile down at U of O.

That's an incredible time by an incredible talent. I think the fact that he is red-shirting and that he isn't officially running for UP has kept him off the radar screen.

IIRC, he was a surprise at 4:06 last year as a HS senior at a national level track meet. Great PR for him if so. Really early in his career and still showing great range from 1 mile to 10k.
Full results here, looks like a good race:

Is it sad I have to go to letsrun to get results? This was two days ago and there is nothing on the UP site.

Well, for one thing, he was running unattached. This a total shot in the dark, but are schools supposed to report about the performance of unattached runners (Like NCAA wise and whatnot?)?

It's up there now. Busy weekend for the athletic department, and as a former SID I can tell you it takes a *long* time to get official results from track and XC meets, sometimes a day or two after the meet. Lots of unofficial stuff gets reported quickly on the web, but official results usually don't get sent out until well after the meet is over. Now, of course track tends to get lost in the shuffle in comparison to XC, but I would say that they do a pretty good job of posting results as they come in:

I'm guessing it's ok do to so. Glancing at the results, several other UP athletes ran as well. Kipchumba ran a decent 1500 (just behind UP alum Michael Kilburg). Also Basset (?) won the steeplechase.

Wow thanks! Dunbar's 1500 split would have certainly been top 10. Where is mattywiz on there? I thought he had the 200 record and Cavanaugh was just behind him?

What I am surprised about is that our 4x400 team was not up there. truly something we had going on with that sprint team.

Thanks for posting the archives/records, Stoney. Some very, very impressive times there.
