Wow - live FREE video feed from Seattle for tonight's game. Go to Portlandpilots.com for link or directly to gohuskies.com.

Love to hear everyone's perspective of the game. Come on, viewers! I read this forum for two weeks before I just had to comment. I've read many forums for different sports teams over the years, but this is the first one I have registered for and posted on. I've only read a few user profiles, but they seem to be mostly male. That's great, but come on ladies, lets hear your thoughts. It's free and easy to register and you won't get bombarded with unwanted emails if you choose to not receive emails. How about any former UP players or others with soccer backgrounds, (players, coaches or whatever)? You can be completely anonymous and state your thoughts and opinions.

Go Pilots! Stomp Washingtion! Let's come out with our foot to the pedal and never let up till the final whistle...

Hear Hear, FANatic!

As for tonight's, game... I'll be honest, I'm a bit worried about it. Washington has some confidence now after winning two games last weekend (they went 0-4 to start the season), and really they were pretty much equal to the Pilots in terms of how they handled Yale and Kansas. Yes, they fell behind 1-0 to Yale, but still... UP could have easily given up a goal as well on one of Yale's late break-aways.

And (I know it's silly) but we struggled in our two games up in Seattle already this year, and sometimes small mental things like that really can have an effect.

I am quite confident that we will control the flow of the game and dominate possession, but I'm worried about our ability to create goals. So what I'm really hoping is that the Pilots will score early, which will allow them to relax and force Washington to try out a different strategy than simply packing the box and hoping for a long-ball breakaway (like Yale did).

But maybe I'm making too much of it... I know the Pilots are super talented even without the Rapinoes, Lopez, Schmidt and Sweeney and the team is still super awesome. I guess I just love that feeling of invincibility! Smile

Video feed has started. The play-by-play is really awkward. Kelsey Davis with some good stops so far.

It seems like Dave Matthews Band playing at my college is something I would pay to avoid...

Ai! Chandhoke with a good look but boots it high and wide... Not unsurprising from her... but it's good that they've been willing to pull the trigger.

I am seriously considering muting the audio. Those guys doing the play by play are very annoying! Worse than John Tesh! Can they just shut up!!?

I know I'm posting a lot, but these announcers make UP's sound like Carlo Zampa. What sports do these jokers usually call?

Agreed regarding the broadcasters. Sounds like a couple of freshmen who are playing radio. How many different pronunciations of Michelle Scifo's name can they come up with? LOL

I don't think they know anything about soccer other than what they read in the media guide 10 minutes before the match.

Pilots are VERY fortunate not to be down a goal after one of the Huskies missed a completely open net. Tense moment there.

We need an objective measure.

In the first half, I swear they got the players wrong more than right (on both sides) Second half, I'm going to keep track.

Classy commentators. I'm sure the BBC is just around the corner.

Did I mishear? Are one of these "bros" majoring in broadcast journalism? Looking to do this sort of thing professionally?

Either this doesn't bode well for UW's journalism program or is reflective of how much they value coverage of their women's soccer team...

Can you imagine if you were a Husky fan and had to listen to these jokers all season? I wonder what other sports the Husky fans have to suffer through with these two.

My video feed froze and sputtered often. Had to refresh many times to get it going. Must be my low-end DSL. Was it just me or did others have problems too? I need to check into getting more bandwidth. But, just as well considering I ddn't have to listen to those 2 jokers doing the commentary. Anyway, it was hard to gauge pace and possession of the game over my poor feed.

You're right PilotNut! I agree we need someone to be selfish and WANT to SCORE!! We seem to be on a drought since after the FSU game! Yes, the gals put in 4 goals against OSU...but does anyone else feel there should be more since then?

The gals compliment each other well but they seem to rather "pass it around". The volume of shots have been okay...but...few have been stuck with ATTITUDE!!

We need someone to step up and be the designated FINISHER! That's what I think Megan will bring to the team when she's healthy! Sure..its a given that she's an excellent and skilled technical player....but mostly she brings very intangible skills too....leadership and that take charge persona!! I can see her bring a commanding presence to the pitch...demand the ball at her feet...and let er RIP!!

I'm ready to stand up and shout..."GOOOOOOOAALLL"!!! It's been a long time since I've seen one to that will make me do that. We're overdue for one!!
