We decided to add a seperate forum to foster discussion of the women's hoops program... and it's long overdue. Please discuss Coach Sollars and the team here!

I forget who,said that Sollars had used his last scholarship , probably Birmingham's, to sign the point guard from Tacoma.
Who did he sign with the other scholarships ?
Warren and stratton are both seniors and there should be two there.

Coach Sollars used his first scholarship on Alexis Gannis. She is a 6 foot foward from Phoenix. She signed early in the year. She has been to a few games this year, she seems to be a big solid player.

I am very much in favor of the Womens basketball forum and would like to see as much on the subject as on the mens.
I feel that women's basketball at UP is in a deep rut and a change is needed at head coach as well as the rest of the staff.
I have emailed Williams on the subject but as expected received a rather curt reply.

Coach Sollars' contract is up after next season, and it seems like he will retire after next season.... so Williams will be able to hire one of his own coaches. That will be interesting to see who is hired--that hiring process should start before too long....
